Metallic Palm or Miniature Fishtail Palm also known as Chamaedorea metallica is a small to medium-sized palm species with striking metallic blue-green fronds. The fronds have a unique fishtail-like shape, giving the plant its common name. The metallic sheen on the leaves adds to its allure and makes it a standout feature in any indoor setting.

Plants Care
  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light for the Chamaedorea metallica. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant when the top inch of the soil feels dry, and ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
  • Humidity: This palm thrives in higher humidity levels. Consider using a humidifier or misting the leaves regularly to create a more humid environment.
  • Temperature: Maintain a warm environment for Chamaedorea metallica, ideally between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid exposing it to cold drafts or extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture but doesn't become waterlogged.
  • Fertilizing: Feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilizing in winter.
  • Pruning: Trim brown or damaged fronds to maintain the plant's appearance and health.
  • Repotting: Repot the Chamaedorea metallica every 2-3 years or when it becomes root-bound, preferably in spring.

    DELIVERY

    • We offer free same day delivery for Abu Dhabi and Dubai for orders above 300AED.
    • For orders less than 300AED, we are charging 30AED shipping fee.
    • Delivery cut off timings vary per location. For Dubai and Abu Dhabi, our delivery cut off timing is until 6PM.
    • All orders received beyond the specified timings will be delivered on the next day.
    • For urgent delivery requirements to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, we offer Express Delivery services with a 150 AED charge. We guarantee the delivery within 1 hour from the time you have placed and paid your order with us.
    • No same day delivery for any orders with cake. Placing of cake orders is only until 6pm, then it will be delivered on the next day, 11am onwards.
    • The shipping fee applies to one location ONLY. If your order has more than one delivery location, additional shipping fee will be charged per location added.
    • If our driver has already arrived at the initially provided shipping address and you then change the location, an additional 30AED will be charged for re-routing, given that the new location is more than 2 kilometers away from the original shipping address. To avoid this, kindly communicate with our Customer Service Team for any changes regarding your delivery details.

    Plantaflora guarantees the delivery of your order within the day that you have requested. However, we cannot promise exact timings. For orders that must be received within a particular time slot, please contact our Customer Service Team before placing your order for assistance.
